Rustic Spalted Maple plant stand
Impress your guests with this luxurious, rustic plant stand made from exotic “spalted maple”. This tasteful, handsome piece can be made in 3 different heights - 18 inches, 24 inches, and 28 inches. The corresponding diameters of the round top are 11 inches, 13 inches, and 14 inches.
Spalted maple is an exotic lumber that is actually just normal maple wood that has been allowed to decay slightly (the dark “spalting” lines are the result of fungi that are beginning to decompose the wood). The decomposition process is then halted, the wood kiln-dried, and the dark fungal lines are preserved. This wood is rare and hard to find (but I have a great supplier) because it is produced via a more time consuming process.

All pieces are branded with a shop logo and finished with 3 coats of The Real Milk Paint 50-50 Tung Oil which is safe and gentle finish and gives the piece a silky smooth protective finish. We can add a polyurethane top coat for an additional $20.
